Ferðin yfir Gíbraltarsund frá Marokkó til Spánar er lífshættuleg, að minnsta kosti fyrir ólöglega innflytjendur. A year after the tragic events that took place near the Spanish enclaves of Ceuta and Melilla in northern Morocco in September 2005, young deported African men and women talk about their unfortunate attempts to cross over to Spain and give us their own versions of those events. What drives these young people to risk so much for this adventure. Different voices from middle-class society a historian, a jurist, a writer attempt to explain the cause of this emigration from their own perspective. This is a story of people who are criminalized for where they were born and their attempts to escape, and also the story of how the West has corrupted Africa.
