Below you can find our juries for the 2016 edition! Information regarding juries in 2017 to come.

The twelve films in our competitive category New Visions are all debut or sophomore efforts. One will be named Discovery of the Year and receive the Golden Puffin.

Jonas Holmberg
Artistic director of Göteborg Film Festival. 

Grímur Hákonarson
Director. Among his works are the Cannes awarded film ‘Rams’ and the short film ‘Wrestler’ that has also won several awards.

Editor at Fréttatíminn. She has a lot of experience working in radio and TV and is also a documentary filmmaker

Short film awards go to the Best Iclandic Short, Best International Short and the Golden egg goes to the best short film at the Talent Lab. The best Icelandic short is awarded with 500.000 ISK. RÚV broadcasting servive buys the Best Icelandic short for 500.000 ISK and the film will be screened on RUV.

Þóranna Sigurðardóttir
Icelandic filmmaker based in Los Angeles. Her credits include Darren Aronofsky’s NOAH as a Unit Production Manager

Kate Hide
Works at the distribution company Hanway Films in London.

Director and producer. Ragnar has worked on television programmes, documentaries, adverts and music videos.
