Masterclasses are a unique opportunity to meet some of the world’s leading directors and learn about their life and art.
Panels tackle a wide range of topics regarding international subject matters – ranging from wars and human rights abuses to global warming.
Q&A’s give cinema guests the opportunity to ask film directors about their work following a screening of their films.

Deepa Mehta talks to guest about her film career and visions.
DARREN ARONOFSKY OCTOBER 6TH AT 13:00-14:00 UNIVERSITY OF ICELAND MAIN HALL
In the masterclass Darren Aronofsky will discuss his work along with how to make value of nature though art and film making.

PEACE TALK OCTOBER 7TH AT 13:00-17:00 UNIVERSITY OF ICELAND MAIN HALL FREE
Höfði. Reykjavik Peace Centre will be launched on October 7th with an opening seminar from 13:00. The seminar will include a panel discussion in cooperation with RIFF titled “Promoting Peace with the Power of People and Media”. Panelists include film director Darren Aronofsky, film producer Kristín Ólafsdóttir, film director Hrund Gunnsteinsdóttir and Obaidah Zytoon director of The War Show.
