How do I submit my film to the festival?
You can submit your film by registering all information in the Eventival visitors page. On our homepage you can access the submit button.
Where can I purchase a festival pass/coupon card/tickets?
You can purchase festival passes, coupon cards and single tickets in our webshop and in Bíó Paradís. All orders can be picked up in our ticket office at Bíó Paradís. The office opens 30 minutes before the first screening of the day.
What is the difference between a festival pass and a coupon card?
The festival pass is valid for one person for all screenings except for special events. A coupon card is valid for eight screenings and can be shared with others.
Are the films subtitled?
All films that are not in English have English subtitles.
Can I attend the opening night?
The festival opens the 26th of september with the screening of Elfar Aðalsteins film End of Sentence. The opening will be in Bíó Paradís. The opening party is open to those who have acquired tickets to the screening. Festival passes can be bought through our online shop at Riff.is
Where will events take place?
Bíó Paradís will screen all of the films shown at RIFF. Events will also take place at the Nordic House in Reykjavík, Sundhöll Reykjavíkur (Swimminghall in Reykjavík), LOFT hostel and Harpa
Which events are a part of the RIFF program
Each year RIFF has different kinds of events. Some are yearly. Our most popular event is, amont others, the swim- in cinema at Sundhöll Reykjavíkur. We also have our popular Industry days at the Nordic House and the Reykjavík Talent Lab that will have a base at the Nordic House and LOFT Hostel.
