How do I submit my film to the festival?
You can submit your film by registering all information in the Eventival visitors page. On our homepage you can access the submit button.
Where can I purchase a festival pass/coupon card/tickets?
www.riff.is – open all day every day. We offer discounted prices online.
Bíó Paradís – opens September 26th at 12 pm and is open during the festival from half an hour before the first screening of the day until midnight.
RIFF information – located at Center Hotel Plaza, Aðalstræti 4-6, 101 Reykjavík. It is open from September 24th to October 4th from 11:00-18:00.
What is the difference between a festival pass and a coupon card?
The festival pass is valid for one person for all screenings except for special events. A coupon card is valid for eight screenings and can be shared with others.
Are the films subtitled?
All films that are not in English have English subtitles.
Can I attend the opening night?
The festival opens the 26th of September with the screening of Elfar Aðalsteins film End of Sentence. The opening will be in Bíó Paradís. The opening party is open to those who have acquired tickets to the screening. Tickets and passes can be purchased on our website.
Where will events take place?
Bíó Paradís will screen all of the films shown at RIFF. Events will also take place at the Nordic House in Reykjavík, Sundhöll Reykjavíkur (Swimminghall in Reykjavík), LOFT hostel.
Which events are a part of the RIFF program
Each year RIFF has different kinds of events. Some are yearly. Our most popular event is, among others, the swim- in cinema at Sundhöll Reykjavíkur. We also have our popular Industry days at the Nordic House and the Reykjavík Talent Lab that will have a base at the Nordic House and LOFT Hostel.
