Andri Snær Magnason is one of Iceland’s most celebrated writers. Among his work are novels, poetry, plays, short stories and essays that have been published or performed in 35 countries. He is the director of Dreamland (2009), one of Iceland’s most influential and acclaimed documentaries. Andri received the Kairos Award in 2010 and has received numerous literary prizes for his work, both in Iceland and internationally. His latest book On Time and Water (2019) will be published in 24 languages in 2020 and 2021. He has created radio work for the BBC and contributed to the Oscar Award Winning documentary Inside Job by Charles Ferguson. Andri was one of the main candidates for President in Iceland in 2016.
