After spend­ing her child­hood in Val d’Isère and sev­er­al years abroad, Charlène Favier found­ed her own com­pa­ny, Char­lie Bus Pro­duc­tion, at the age of 24. She trained in act­ing at the Jacques Le Coq School in Lon­don, in direct­ing at the Asto­ria Stu­dio in New York, and in writ­ing at the FEMIS script work­shop, from which she grad­u­at­ed in 2015. At the same time, she wrote, direct­ed, and pro­duced sev­er­al short films and doc­u­men­taries, such as Free Fall (2012), Omes­sa (2015), and Odol Gor­ri, nom­i­nat­ed for the 2020 César Award for Best Short Film. Slalom is her first feature film.
