Eliane Esther Bots was born in 1986 in The Netherlands. She graduated in 2016 cum laude at the Master of Film at the Netherlands Film Academy in Amsterdam. Her films have been screened at festivals such as the Berlinale, Cinema du Reel, New York Film Festival, International Short Film festival Oberhausen and Go Short. She has been a programmer for the Go Short Film Festival and works as a lecturer at the University of the Arts in Utrecht.
