Haukur Hallsson (b. 1989) is a filmmaker from Reykjavík. He premiered his documentary portrait of the renowned Czech filmmaker Karel Vachek at Ji.hlava IDFF in 2016 called „What Is Behind the Canvas? – A Journey from Tišnov to Prague, or how Karel Vachek brought back his paintings)“. He has directed both short fiction films and documentaries. Haukur is a directing student at FAMU in Prague.
