Over the last three years, Josiah Ng has overseen and produced more than 400 content pieces for broadcast and the web. He currently works as Head of Film & Social Content at DDB Singapore. He was a core member in bringing dialect back to Singapore television after 30 years, with the creation of Singapore’s first edutainment dialect television series, Eat Already?
Ng has also gone on to create several telemovies and television series, such as Gunting, and The Provision Shop. Ng is also a recipient of the prestigious Ngee Ann Kongsi Gold Medal, Lien Ying Chow scholarship, Shaw Foundation Gold Medal, MDA Film Prize, and Cathay Film Prize, and Rising Star 2016 (IAS). André & his Olive Tree is Ng’s latest documentary feature, a film that he hopes will help explore our obsession with perfection and results, through the eyes of a Taiwanese Michelin chef who is ready to give it all up.
