Ngima Gelu Lama is a photographer turned writer, director and producer. He studied Masters in Film Direction at Kino Eyes: The European Movie Masters program (2018-2020) in Lisbon, Edinburgh and Tallinn for which he received a full Erasmus plus scholarship.
His debut short film Phulsiri (2016) won Best Children film award in Nepal and was screened in dozen of film festivals across the world. His documentary short Home (2020) was premiered at Internationale Kurzfilmtage Oberhausen (2021), where he was awarded Prize of the Ecumenical Jury – Honorable Mention. Adaptação (2020) is his graduation film project. His next project Kathmandu Monsoon, a documentary short, is currently in post production.
