The popular drive-in cinema RIFF (Reykjav\u00edk International Film Festival) returns Saturday, September 21st <\/strong>\u2013 and as before, it is one of the largest ever held in this country, but it was last held in the fall of 2021.<\/p>\n

Food trucks and popcorn and soda on site to make the experience even better<\/strong><\/p>\n

Full price for each car 4990 ISK, but 3990 for disabled people\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n

Four ever-popular movies will be shown this time \u2013 and for those in cars, it's easy to connect the radio to the right channel \u2013 and then just enjoy:<\/p>\n

The Swedish film that was a hit in 1977, directed by Olle Hellblom, tells the story of the brothers Karl and Jonathan's confrontation with \u00deengil the Grim and his black-clad knights.<\/p>\n

The unforgettable musical film by \u00c1g\u00fast Gu\u00f0mundsson from 1982 where members of Stu\u00f0mann and Gr\u00fdlann compete in a competition between two bands that tour the country.<\/p>\n

Another film from Vi\u00f0ar's 1987 collection about a country boy during the war years who looks for his love in the hands of a soldier, who is perhaps, after all, just a coincidence.<\/p>\n

The director of these two films, Vi\u00f0ar V\u00edkingsson, and their lead actor, Kristj\u00e1n Frankl\u00edn, will attend V\u00ed\u00f0idalinn to introduce the films and put the storyline into context.<\/p>\n

RIFF's drive-in cinema makes the cinema experience accessible to everyone. There will be Icelandic subtitles for each film and a specially designated seating area at the front of the screen for cinemagoers with disabilities who will receive a 20% discount.<\/p>\n

The film festival itself will then begin at the University Cinema. <\/strong><\/p>\n

September 26th and runs until October 6th. <\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
