Reykjav\u00edk International Film Festival is proud to introduce the RIFF Advisory Board, composed of leading professionals from a range of creative disciplines, particularly from the worlds of film and the performing arts. The board consists of Ingvar E. Sigur\u00f0sson, El\u00edsabet Ronaldsd\u00f3ttir, Andri Sn\u00e6r Magnason, Yrsa Roca Fannberg, Margr\u00e9t \u00d6rn\u00f3lfsd\u00f3ttir, \u00d3lafur Darri \u00d3lafsson, and Gu\u00f0mundur Arnar Gu\u00f0mundsson.<\/p>

The role of the Advisory Board is to strengthen and support RIFF\u2019s activities by serving in an advisory capacity and thereby contributing to the development of the festival\u2019s programme and operations. Festival staff may seek the board members\u2019 expertise, advice, and ideas, as well as present programme proposals and other initiatives for their consideration and feedback.\nAt the same time, board members are encouraged to contribute their own ideas for programming and other initiatives that may further enhance the activities and continued development of the Reykjav\u00edk International Film Festival.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\u00d3lafur Darri \u00d3lafsson has established himself as one of Iceland\u2019s most acclaimed actors, both at home and internationally. His extensive screen credits include numerous international films and television productions, among them The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. Gu\u00f0mundur Arnar Gu\u00f0mundsson is an Icelandic director and producer. After studying visual arts, he went on to study screenwriting in Denmark. During his residency with the Cin\u00e9fondation at the Cannes Film Festival, he developed and wrote his first feature film, Heartstone (Hjartasteinn), which premiered at the Venice International Film Festival. Andri Sn\u00e6r Magnason is one of Iceland\u2019s most versatile and acclaimed authors. In addition to his literary achievements, Andri Sn\u00e6r has directed four films: Dreamland (Draumalandi\u00f0), the documentary The Third Pole (\u00deri\u00f0ji p\u00f3llinn), which opened RIFF 2020, T\u00edd\u00e6gra \/ Apausalypse (2021), and the National Geographic documentary Time and Water (2026).
