DESCRIPTION:Þegar áttræða ekkjan Mantoa missir eina eftirlifandi son sinn í námuslysi\, fer hún að undirbúa sinn eigin dauðdaga. Mantoa pakkar saman eigum sínum og finnur mann úr þorpinu til að grafa sér gröf. Áform hennar um friðsæl ævilok fara hins vegar á annan veg þegar hún kemst að því að byggja eigi uppistöðulón í þorpinu\, sem mun setja kirkjugarðinn á flot. Mantoa fær bæjarbúa með sér í lið\, og síðustu ævidagar hennar verða eftirminnilegri en hún hafði gert sér í hugarlund. \nWhen octogenarian widow Mantoa loses the last of her children to a mining accident\, she begins making arrangements to die herself\, wrapping up her affairs and possessions\, and seeking a local man to dig her a grave. Yet her plans for a peaceful passing are undone when a new reservoir is set to be built in her village\, which will flood the cemetery.
