Synopsis
Catalina submits to the tradition of her people to demonstrate her purity and worth as a woman. But her body betrays her and she fails to demonstrate her chastity.
Director’s Bio
Xóchitl Enríquez Mendoza, Oaxaca, 1991. Director, screenwriter and producer. She studied film at the Popular Autonomous University of the State of Puebla (UPAEP) and film script at the Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica (CCC). In 2018 she produced in Veracruz, her short film “Franco”, IMCINE, by Mariana Martínez. And in 2020 she won the 20th IMCINE Southeast Region Short Film with „Maidenhood“.
