Maya Avidov graduated the Sam Spiegel School of Film & Television where she specialised in directing & cinematography, and has since been focusing on directing and writing.
Since immigrating to the UK, Maya has written, directed & produced several short films, documentaries and music videos. As well as worked as a leading Archive Producer & Researcher on films and TV shows for Netflix, Amazon, the BBC and Sky Arts.
She is a member of Directors UK & BECTU2022- Selected for RIFF Talent Lab
2022- Selected for Wonder Women TV UK mentoring programme
2021- “Code Switcher” Interactive feature film/game for Good Gate Media – Development Director
2017- The Listener- writer/director commissioned as part of the Listener’s Project

Short documentary made as part of DocChallenge where it won third prize & best original score. Selected for Clip Award & Berlin Israeli film festivals, screened on Israeli TV channels 2 & YesDoco.
