RIFF at Hlynur Pálmason’s premier at Cannes
Hrönn Marinósdóttir, Festival Director at the Reykjavík International Film Festival, is representing RIFF at Festival de Cannes this week along with our main programmer Giorgio Gosetti.
They will be present at the premier of Hlynur Pálmason’s film A White, White Day (Hvítur, hvítur dagur). Hlynur is nominated for the Critics’ Week Grand Prize at Cannes for his film. The rights of the film have now been sold both to France and Australia according to Variety.
Winterbrothers, Hlynur’s last feature film, premiered at RIFF in 2017 and was his first feature. Previously he had directed short films and his short film A painter (2013) won an award at RIFF.
