Háskólabíó
The venue has long been one of Reykjavik’s main cultural hubs and has operated as a cinema since 1961. It served as the main concert hall for the Iceland Symphony Orchestra for some years until Harpa Concert Hall was inaugurated in 2011. The venue will be decorated specifically for the festival, and everything will be done to provide the warmest welcome for RIFF guests.
The Nordic House
The Nordic House in Reykjavik is a well-established venue for Nordic art, culture, language, and public discussion close to the downtown of Reykjavík. The Nordic House was established in 1968 and has since then maintained a crucial role in fostering cultural connections between Iceland and the other Nordic countries. RIFF and the Nordic House have had a working relationship for many years and continue to work together to promote international cinema.
