JOIN THE TEEM

Are you passionate about movies and are you looking for your first experience in the world of events and movies in Iceland?

Do you want to help out organising and producing the biggest film festival in Iceland?

RIFF takes place at the end of September each year in the city of Reykjavik, a cultural hub in the land of thermal pools, waterfalls, and striking glaciers.

INTERNSHIP

RIFF is looking for interns to join us at the office in Reykjavik. There is a myriad of interesting tasks that we need support with, and as an intern, you will become an essential part of the team, being involved in many aspects of the festival.

The tasks include organisation, production, communication with filmmakers, companies, venues and other partners, and many more.

The internship may begin as early as March 1st (or later) and can last from 3-6 months. Internships are unpaid, but there are exchange programs like Erasmus+ that can support flights, accommodation and living costs.

These internships are great for new-comers in the film industry. Our goal is to provide a colourful taste of what it takes to organise and produce a film festival while working in a fun and interesting environment. All interns also get a festival pass which gives access to all screenings at the festival.

VOLUNTEERING

Are you interested in helping a world-class festival grow, watching great films and improving your professional skills at the same time. Then you should join us as a festival volunteer. Various tasks need to be carried out – from organising special events to helping at the cinema and screenings, from taking care of the guests and awarded personalities to distributing information online or in the real world.

Our humble festival could not take place successfully each year without the unconditional support of the many volunteers that join us each year. We want your help!
