VENUES
Háskólabío
The venue has been a cornerstone of Reykjavik's cultural scene and has operated as a cinema since 1961. It also served as the main concert hall for the Iceland Symphony Orchestra until the inauguration of the Harpa Concert Hall in 2011.
For the festival, the venue will be beautifully redecorated to warmly welcome RIFF guests, all in keeping with the festival’s commitment to environmental sustainability.
The Nordic House
The Nordic House in Reykjavik is a well-established venue for Nordic art, culture, language, and public discussion close to the downtown of Reykjavík. The Nordic House was established in 1968 and has since then maintained a crucial role in fostering cultural connections between Iceland and the other Nordic countries. RIFF and the Nordic House have had a working relationship for many years and continue to work together to promote international cinema.
