Karel Candi is a 27 years old Icelandic filmmaker and a recent MA film practice graduate from the Arts University Bournemouth. Over the past few years Karel has made several short fiction films and documentaries and commissioned work for architects, building contractors as well as the University of Reykjavík, his latest film being the short documentary Offshore (2022), which he completed as a part of his MA degree. Karel now works as a part-time filmmaking teacher at an Icelandic elementary school and as a caregiver for the disabled during the summers with aspirations for furthering his filmmaking career.
