The Reykjavík International Film Festival recently held Kids Film! workshops in three municipalities in the Westfjords under the banner of YouthRIFF. The instructor was Erlingur Óttar Thoroddsen.
For many years, RIFF has maintained an active youth program, both during the film festival itself in September and October and outside the festival schedule through various events and courses. The schools that participated this time were Patreksfjörður School, Bíldudalur School, and Tálknafjörður School.
The Kids Film! workshops consist, as usual, of a short film course, and they were held from January 19–23 in collaboration with the children’s cultural festival Púkinn and the Westfjords Regional Development Office, with support from ERASMUS+, and were highly successful.
