On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the founding of the legendary production company Propaganda Films, RIFF presents a special double feature of two landmark works by David Lynch: the 94-minute pilot episode of Twin Peaks and the Palme d’Or-winning Wild at Heart.
The two works were released just a few weeks apart in the spring of 1990, marking a turning point in the history of film and television. Twin Peaks revolutionized television and captivated millions of viewers with the question: Who killed Laura Palmer? Wild at Heart is an unforgettable blend of road movie, love story, Southern Gothic and pitch-black humor, brought to life by Lynch’s singular vision.
Wild at Heart Wild at Heart will be screened in a stunning new 4K restoration, created from the original 35mm film elements under the supervision of cinematographer Frederick Elmes and with the approval of the David Lynch Family Trust.
Producer Sigurjón Sighvatsson will be in attendance, giving guests a unique opportunity to experience these influential works alongside one of the key figures behind them.
