PULP FICTION BURGER PARTY

To mark the visit of renowned Portuguese actress Maria de Medeiros to the Reykjavík International Film Festival (RIFF), the festival, in collaboration with Tommi's Burger Joint, is hosting a unique cinema event: a special screening of the 1994 masterpiece Pulp Fiction with Maria de Medeiros herself in attendance. She played one of the film's leading roles as Fabienne. Who could forget her iconic exchange with her fiancé Butch (played by Bruce Willis):

– Whose Motorcycle is this?

-It’s a chopper, baby.

-Whose chopper is this?

-Zed’s.

-Who’s Zed?

-Zed’s dead, baby. Zed’s dead.

A Burger Feast Inspired by the Film

To make the evening even more enjoyable, Tómasar's Burger Joint will be serving burgers to moviegoers during the intermission. As devoted film fans will remember, burgers feature repeatedly throughout Pulp Fiction.

Guests can choose from:

1) Royale With Cheese – because we Icelanders use the metric system and haven't got the faintest idea what a Quarter Pounder is.

2) Big Kahuna Burger – sunny Hawaiian vibes in burger form. We've heard they're delicious, although we haven't actually tried one ourselves. How are they?

3) The Durward Kirby Burger – a vegan burger for those who prefer it, even though Mia Wallace ordered hers bloody at Jack Rabbit Slim's. Happy memories.

And of course, every meal comes with the famous "$5 Milkshake" from the film. We won't be adding any bourbon—or anything else—to it. Yum!

Guests are encouraged to dress up in the spirit of the film to help make the event even more memorable. As mentioned above, Maria de Medeiros will be attending the screening and will take part in a question-and-answer session with the audience afterward, giving attendees the opportunity to ask her about the film, her role in it, and much more.
