RIFF invites you to warm up for the festival with European short films. The screenings will take place at Tónabíó and Laugardalslaug swimming pool.
ONE MINUTES AT LAUGARDALSLAUG
RIFF presents one-minute films from across Europe in collaboration with The One Minutes. The screening will take place in an unusual setting, with the films playing on a screen by the indoor pool at Laugardalslaug. Two series will be shown: Deep Blue, curated by Icelandic artist Arnar Ásgeirsson, and Akwatik, curated for the Kinemastik Short Film Festival in Malta.
PORTUGUESE FOCUS
Portugal is this year's Country in Focus at the festival, and we are presenting an outstanding selection of Portuguese short films.
EUROPEAN SUMMER SHORTS
It’s summer in Europe. In a program curated by Aleksandra Lawska, filmmakers explore desire, connection and the fragile boundaries between private life and shared reality. From heat-soaked romance and fading summer dreams to online intimacy, secrets and fast-spreading rumours, these films blend realism with the surreal to reveal how people seek closeness in an increasingly connected yet isolating world.
