RIFF is planning a drive-in cinema for Advent and will be showing the Christmas film National Lampoons Christmas Vacation next month. Saturday at 8:00 PM Sunday at 8:00 PM in the parking lot at Samskip, on the corner of Holtavegur and Barkarvogur. A drive-in movie is ideal entertainment in times like these and it's great for movie-lovers to be able to go to the movies with their loved ones in the family car. Many people know this classic comedy and it's fun to enjoy it with a group of good friends and laugh a little. The film is about a family man who puts a lot of effort into making Christmas the most festive for his family but doesn't always have the results that come with his hard work. The RIFF drive-in movie is one of the largest drive-in movies ever held in Iceland. As mentioned before, screenings take place in front of Samskip's headquarters where RIFF staff have, in good cooperation with Samskip, erected a huge screen.
