RIFF Industry Days is a series of events and talks held during the festival. Their prime objective is to create a platform for the exchange and circulation of ideas and promotion between the Icelandic and international film industry, with an emphasis on the Nordic region. The main Industry Days events will be held at the Nordic House, recorded and streamed live online. Registration is required for all events

Music in Focus – Iceland, Case Study – 16:30-18:30
To honour Hildur Guðnadóttir, a panel of Icelandic composers and music industry figures discuss why Hildur’s historic achievements only mark the beginning of Iceland’s success in scoring films and television.

Market Forum – By invitation, professionals only – 09:30 – 12:30
Showcase, held in collaboration with the Icelandic Film Centre, where excerpts from upcoming film and TV productions will be presented to distributors and representatives from world-class sales agencies.

Networking platform for producers from the Nordics, Iceland, Europe, and North America. Professionals only.

RIFF Talks. 8. October – 16:00 – 18:00
Filmmakers and creatives share presentations in the spirit of Ted Talks with a focus on filmmaking. The aim is to educate and inspire.

An open panel discussion about the importance of Arctic Film productions and their worldwide distribution with regards to the transmission and conservation of cultural values.

Icelandic Nordic Noir – 15:00 – 16:30
Literary adaptations are flourishing in Nordic cinema and television, hand in hand with the increasing international popularity of Nordic Noir. In this panel screenwriters, writers and industry experts express their views and visions on the subject.
