18th Reykjavik International Film Festival
Dear film lovers, we are thrilled to announce that submissions are now open for the 18th Reykjavík International Film Festival, which will be held from September 30 to October 10, 2021.
SUBMIT YOUR WORK
We accept feature, documentary and animated films of all lengths and formats. Films must be produced after January 1, 2020 and must not have previously premiered in Iceland. The deadline for submissions is July 7, 2021. Please send your photo to us via Filmfreeway.
TAKE PART IN REYKJAVÍK TALENT LAB
Reykjavík Talent Lab, which runs from October 5th – 9th, 2021, is a creative collaboration space for talented newcomers who want to meet other like-minded people in the film industry. It gives them the opportunity to connect with filmmakers and other professionals who are ready to help and advise them on their first feature film. The program includes master classes, panel discussions, workshops, mentoring by experienced professionals, as well as numerous exciting projects. Through this work, we support aspiring filmmakers in developing their artistic voices, through diverse and unforgettable experiences.
Participants in Reykjavík Talent Lab will have the opportunity to submit a short film, from their own workshop, to the short film competition Gulleggið. More information can be found here.
