We are always excited about new Icelandic films and are therefore pleased to announce that applications have opened for the 17th Reykjavík International Film Festival, RIFF, which will be held from September 24th to October 4th.
We accept feature-length films, documentaries and short films. Films must have been produced after January 1, 2019 and have not been officially released in Iceland. The application deadline is July 15th.
The festival's rules for submitted images are here and all applications must be submitted through The Filmfreeway portal.
There is always a strong turnout among filmmakers to submit their films to RIFF, with the festival receiving an average of around 1,000 applications from filmmakers from all over the world in recent years. If you have any questions, please feel free to email them to submissions@riff.is
