Hayley is a Vancouver-based writer and director (DGC). She is a graduate of Dalhousie University and Vancouver Film School and has written and directed scripted, unscripted and commercial work. Hayley’s films have won awards at festivals around the world aired on Telus Optik, the Knowledge Network, CBC and Air Canada. Hayley’s documentary: HAYASHI STUDIO investigates the hidden history of BC, as documented by a Japanese-Canadian photography studio. Her latest film UNARCHIVED, is a documentary premiered at Vancouver International Film Festival, it examines how to make marginalized histories as researchable and accessible and the dominant historical record. Hayley’s short film SEND THE RAIN is part of RIFF’s Golden Egg Competition and speaks to the devastating results of Western Canada’s Wildfires.
