18. REYKJAVIK INTERNATION FILM FESTIVAL
Dear filmmakers and film lovers, we are thrilled to announce that the following submission categories are open for the 18. edition of the Reykjavík International Film Festival, which will take place between September 30 and October 10, 2021, in the city of Reykjavík.
FILM SUBMISSIONS
We accept scripted, documentary, and animation film works, in all lengths and forms. The films must be produced after January 1, 2020, and must not have previously premiered formally in Iceland.

JOIN OUR TALENT LAB
Reykjavik Talent Lab, running from October 5 to October 9, 2021, is a creative collaborative space for emerging talents who want to meet up with other like-minded individuals in Reykjavik and make first-hand contact with film producers and other industry professionals to help and consult on their first feature film. Through masterclasses, panels, workshops, mentorship, and numerous exciting activities we support up-and-coming filmmakers in developing their artistic voice while having an unforgettable experience.
Participants in our Talent Lab have the opportunity to submit a current short film for consideration to The Golden Egg short film competition. Please find more detailed information on our program here.
